ModernHDV First Setup
Quick onboarding to validate that the auction house is working after installation, without advanced technical configuration.
Before You Start
- ModernHDV is installed on the server
- Vault is installed
- A Vault-compatible economy plugin is active
In your server's plugins/ folder:
If any of these points are not validated, check the Installation page before continuing.
Step 1 — Start the Server
Simply start your server. On first launch, ModernHDV automatically generates its configuration files and resources in the plugin folder.
Tip
By default, ModernHDV starts in single-server mode with SQLite. No additional configuration is required to get started.
Step 2 — Open the Auction House
Log in to the game, then open the auction house with the command below.
/hdv
You can also use this command:
/ah
You should see the main auction house menu with GUI navigation (categories, selling, search, and auction management).
Step 3 — Verify That It Works
- The
/hdvmenu opens correctly - The player's balance is displayed in the interface
- The GUI navigation responds correctly (categories / back / search)
- No blocking error message appears in the console
Step 4 — First Customization
Customization
Free: customization through YAML files (categories, GUI icons, translations).
Pro: advanced in-game customization through Admin GUI Pro.
Start by validating the core functionality, then gradually adjust categories, interfaces, and language to fit your server.
